HYPNO-PSYCHOTHERAPY
Hypno-Psychotherapy is an extension of hypnotherapy utilising the integrative techniques of psychotherapy. This is beneficial for more complex emotional, psychological or physical issues.
Hypnosis is often used outside of psychotherapy and psychotherapy is often used without hypnosis. However, in my personal experience with my clients, it has become clear that hypnosis as a tool is better utilised in conjunction with psychotherapy.
Hypno-psychotherapy essentially combines the integrative techniques of psychotherapy, such as CBT – Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and hypnosis. This approach is beneficial for more complex emotional, psychological or physical issues such as dealing with depression, trauma or abuse and can only be undertaken by someone suitably qualified in both areas. A hypno-psychotherapist has at their disposal a deeper psychological understanding, training and skill in providing a supportive, empathetic and therapeutic relationship.
